About Bentley Online Learning
At Bentley University, we understand that not everyone has the time for a conventional education. That is why Bentley University, with the help of Zoom technology, has created an expansive, and growing, catalogue of online learning classes. Whether you are working a full time job, traveling around the world, or just going home for the summer, Bentley is confident we can find a class that fits your schedule.
Asynchronous: This options allows for you to complete the class on your own schedule. Everything is online and you can complete the work at your own pace.
Hybrid: By dividing the class time between the classroom and online, this option combines classroom learning with the convenience of online learning.
Everything Online: This class provides the convenience of online learning with the structure of classroom learning by streaming classes at a designated time each week.
Classroom: This type of course is run as a traditional, face-to-face class at the Bentley campus.
Types of Courses
“Students that chose to attend online have the same opportunities to ask questions and engage with classmates as those who attend class in person.” Meredith Mason MBA ’18.
The Hybrid Classroom Solution
The hybrid classroom program provides in-person learning augmented by online services, allowing students to fully participate in class, no matter where they happen to be during the time block that week.
Remote students are actively involved in class discussions and projects with fellow classmates. This is a key benefit when compared to traditional online classes, because students are still able to benefit from the enhanced learning that comes from class content combined with context provided by professors and fellow classmates.
Hybrid classrooms are outfitted with video cameras, ceiling-mounted student microphones with digital processors, wireless microphones for professors and smartboards to deliver a highly effective interactive online experience to online participants. This option gives graduate students with jobs, families, or traveling responsibilities the ability to work education into their schedules. At the same time, students can — and are encouraged to — attend classes in-person whenever possible.
